Integrative Yoga for Seniors combines the best of evidenced-based medicine with the ancient wisdom of yoga. This FREE class sponsored by The Estate & Elder Law Center of Southside Virginia, PLLC, offers specific recommendations for older adults to safely begin a practice of movement, meditation, and better mental and physical awareness. * Students participate from the mat, a chair or even a wheelchair! * Yoga practices that are safe for health conditions common to seniors including osteoporosis, arthritis, heart disease, chronic pain and joint replacement. * Improve strength, range of motion, and enhance balance. * Great for various fitness levels - You do not have to be a contortionist to enjoy the health benefits of this class! We currently offer 2 classes: A Bassett area class is held every Wednesday morning at 11:00am at the historic John D. Bassett / EMI Building in Bassett, Virginia and is handicap-accessible.
